Our New Peer Mediators

We would like to say congratulations to our new Peer Medation Team for 2012.  Well done to:

These Peer Mediators will be able to help children throughout the school to sort out their own problems through mediation session.  Every child in Primary 7 is trained in peer mediation through a seven week program, so that they all understand the concepts of conflict resolution. 

Peer Mediation is taught to:

• Help children handle conflict.
• Help children to take more responsibility for their behaviour.
• Provide children with training to recognise the causes of conflict.

The Peer Mediators are selected through a process of application and interview.  It takes commitment and patience to be a mediator.  We wish them well in the coming year.
