Our school council members took part in the opening day of the Local Democracy Week programme at the Guildhall today.
✨They met 'The City and District’s Number One Citizen', learned about his role and the role of the council and had the opportunity to ask questions.
✨Had the opportunity to share what they would do if they could be Mayor for the day.
✨Listened to the history of the Guildhall and took part in a fun quiz.
✨Cast their votes following a debate.
✨Drew some fabulous portraits of the Mayor.
It was a great day and thank you very much to the Mayor and staff of the Guildhall for the opportunity.
