LASCO Primary Maths Challenge

Primary 7 Higher set Maths Class will be taking part in the annual Primary Maths Challenge event on Friday the 3rd of February.

The children are asked to make a donation of £1 which will go to LASCO -Latin American Street Children Organisation, a registered charity formed to help provide education and healthcare to some of Latin America’s estimated 40 million street children.

The Maths Challenge is designed to bring schools together, using the domain of mathematics, to provide a platform for pupils to both collaborate and compete, giving them a highly enjoyable experience that is both academically and pastorally rewarding.

By taking part the children are participating in a highly inclusive, stimulating, rewarding and enjoyable maths challenge and developing their problem solving skills. 

The Maths Challenge helps Oakgrove  IPS to Raise pupil enthusiasm for mathematics.Winners of the Challenge will be crowned 2012 LASCO Maths Challenge Champions and win a share of more than £4000 worth of maths and numeracy resources.
