Primary 4 visited the CCA Gallery today. Currently in the gallery is the DeMo Reciprocal Residency which are solo exhibitions by Mark Buckeridge and Ona Juciute.
We participated in a workshop with Sarah taking inspiration from the use of textiles in both the works of Ona and Mark. We designed and made bunting using recycled shirts - inspired by the heritage of shirt factories in Derry~Londonderry.
Everyone designed and made their own textile triangle using shirts, pinking shears and textile markers. Each flag said something about the maker and together they became a string of bunting representing the whole class.
We really appreciate the support Laura at the CCA Gallery gives us. It was wonderful to visit today!
